Excavations

The first excavation in Eindhoven was in 1930. Dozens of archeological sites have been investigated since then. Some of these were only small-scale observations but there have also been several large-scale excavations lasting many months.

Before 1989 archeological research was purely incidental. But since then, with the appointment of an urban archaeologist, the number of excavations has increased substantially. The following is a summary of all these excavations.
