Dozens of people are involved in archeological research in Eindhoven. They include members of the Municipal Department of Archeology of Eindhoven, employees of the ArcheoService Foundation and volunteers from the Kempen- and Peelland Archaeological Society. Every year students come for longer or shorter work experience projects and from a variety of universities. In recent years they have come from Amsterdam, Leiden, Groningen, Liege, Bristol, Berlin and Toronto.

A substantial proportion of our activities is excavating, which take place in areas where there is a reasonable expectation that there is still some archaeology to be found in the ground. This could be, for example, on the relatively higher ground, in the medieval town centre and in and around the local former castles. Because of the amount of new building in the town centre, the archaeological record in the centre of Eindhoven is disappearing rapidly. Thus before any new construction work is started, the archeologists do their work. The information gathered is then carefully processed. This analysis includes the excavation maps, photographs and, as often as not, large numbers of finds. Every project is rounded off with an excavation report.
